Chin Tip Filler

What is Chin Tip Filling?

Symmetry means the structural and formal similarity of two regions separated by an axis with respect to the axis. Structural and formal similarity is determined by the conformity of placement, shape and size between two or more than two objects in these regions.

Facial beauty is the harmony of the organs and structures in the head region with each other in form, proportion and colour, creating the right symmetry and as a result, providing an aesthetic appreciation.

The vertical line, which is assumed to pass through the forehead, between the two eyebrows (belce), the dorsal bone of the nose and the middle points of the chin, forms the axis of symmetry of the face. The harmony of form and proportion in the face is evaluated according to this axis. For this reason, the most important structures for a face to be recognised as beautiful are the nose and chin protruding on the axis of symmetry. The fact that the tip of the nose and the tip of the chin are aligned and in harmony with the face makes the face look proportional and beautiful. Like the nose, the chin also affects the appearance of the whole face with its appearance. For example, even if the nose of people whose chin is behind is normal, it is perceived as big and affects the symmetry of the whole face.

There are several alternatives preferred by people who are not satisfied with their chin structure or who want to strengthen their chin structure. One of the most preferred of these is chin tip filling. The non-surgical aesthetic application performed by injecting the filling material under the skin in the chin area in order to give the chin an aesthetic appearance and improve the proportion on the face is called Chin Tip Filler. With the application, the chin and jaw line are clarified with soft transitions. The filling effect is a temporary application lasting 12 to 18 months. Optionally, this period can be increased up to 2-3 years by changing the material used. Of course, this period may vary depending on the general condition of the skin, the number of repetitions of the application, age and application dose.

Why is chin tip filling done?

The need for chin tip filling is mostly concentrated in cosmetic demands that manifest themselves in the form of looking aesthetically more beautiful without any structural problems. Chin tip filling is preferred as the most effective application to meet cosmetic demands due to the fact that there is no incision in the chin area and no surgical scar, it is cheaper than chin prosthesis (implant), which is a different surgical application, there is no need for general anaesthesia and no additional treatment after the intervention, the desired appearance can be achieved within 2-3 days, normal life can be returned to normal life quickly and most importantly, the effect of the application is temporary.

Jaw tip filling; It is a temporary method to try different jaw line formations. At the end of this period, when it is desired to maintain the same jaw structure, repeat applications are performed. Repeat applications may become more expensive than chin tip prosthesis applications in the future. For this reason, chin tip filling is mostly requested by people who want to change the jaw structure permanently, for trial purposes before chin tip prosthesis.

However, in some people; it is seen that the chin is larger or smaller than the face, the jaw line is unclear, slipped and asymmetrical according to the axis of symmetry, and some people have sagging under the chin. While some of these people do not have a problem with their appearance, some of them complain about the small or large chin, the general lines and appearance of the chin, or the sagging and wrinkling area in the lower part of the chin.

How is chin tip filling done?

Chin tip filling is a painless intervention performed by an ear – nose – throat doctor who is an expert in the field and experienced in subcutaneous filling applications. Considering the complaints and demands of the patient, two-dimensional or three-dimensional simulations are used to plan the intervention to be performed and the possible postoperative image is evaluated.

Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers, those who use blood thinners, those with skin problems should definitely inform the doctor before the application.

Hyaluronic Acid (HA) and its derivatives, a compound found in the natural structure of our body and used in cosmetic products and many filling aesthetic applications, are frequently used in chin tip filling. This molecular compound, which can hold almost 1000 times its own weight in water, keeps the moisture needed by the skin in balance. This substance is preferred because it is found in the natural structure of the body, moisturises the skin, provides cellular regeneration and is very unlikely to cause allergies or other side effects.
